Our story

Hamm Real Estate Co was founded in early 2024 by St Paul-based queer Realtor® Mariah Hamm.  We are proud to be one of Minnesota’s only queer-owned boutique real estate brokerages.

Hamm Real Estate Co is here to create an inclusive and safe space for agents, clients, and customers alike. One that supports, uplifts, and makes people feel seen and empowered throughout their real estate journeys. All while creating detail-focused processes that set clear expectations along the way.

Oh, and did we mention we love old homes?  Our agents are well-versed in the workings and nuances of old homes and are here to be a helpful resource!

Mariah founded Hamm Real Estate Co in early 2024 after several years in the real estate industry. Mariah’s love for architecture, design, and connecting with people was always a constant and was what ultimately drove them to become a licensed real estate agent in the fall of 2019. As a queer Realtor®, Mariah’s main goal is to create a comfortable and inclusive home buying and selling experience.

What to expect when working with us

Hamm Real Estate Co is here to be a resource, advocate, and guide for folks going through their real estate journey (whether they’re buying a home
or selling a home). We take pride in doing things the right way from the get-go. Learn more about the pillars of our approach to real estate below.

Educator mentality. We believe a good Realtor® is a teacher, not a salesperson. Our approach is rooted in the belief that education is paramount. We lead with education first and foremost, so our clients can make the most informed decisions. This means taking the time to explain every step of the process, providing comprehensive resources, and being readily available to answer questions. By empowering our clients with knowledge, we ensure they feel confident and capable in their real estate endeavors. Our commitment to an educator mentality fosters trust and long-term relationships, as clients know they are receiving not just service, but also a deep understanding of the real estate landscape.

Respect and professionalism. Respect and professionalism shine through in all that we do – from the work in our communities and neighborhoods, with clients, and with other agents. This means treating everyone with dignity, valuing diverse perspectives, and upholding the highest standards of conduct. We listen actively, communicate clearly, and act with integrity in all dealings.

Integrity and gratitude. We believe that honesty and humility are the cornerstones of our practice. Conducting ourselves with integrity means standing up for what is right and fair, both for our clients and the company. We approach every interaction with gratitude, recognizing the trust placed in us and striving to honor it with transparency and ethical behavior.

Kind words

Mariah doesn’t treat you as a transaction. In fact, Mariah is the person who is constantly looking out for you as you make one of the biggest and costliest decisions of your life. When emotions can run high with buying a new home, you want someone like Mariah who is calm, collected, and has a wonderful sense of humor to guide you through the process from beginning to the end. My sibling and I never felt like we were alone in the process and knew we had someone who was rooting for us and doing the work to ensure we could find the best home for our needs.”      – Elisa L.
