Drop Dead(lift) Gorgeous is back for another year of heavy lifting, fundraising, and community, and Hamm Real Estate Co is proud to be both a sponsor and a participant for the third consecutive year. This year, Mariah, Kyle, Liz, & Jason will take the platform as a team, lifting to raise money for Trans+ and gender-expansive communities across the Midwest. Our team is aiming to raise $5,000, and we’d love your support!
The event takes place October 24th from 10am–2pm at The Hook & Ladder Theater in Minneapolis, with free admission, food trucks, merch, flash tattoos, and plenty of reasons to come cheer on the lifters!
For those who don’t know, Mariah Hamm, founder of Hamm Real Estate Company, was a competitive powerlifter for over a decade.
Her background in the sport is a big part of why our team is proud to sponsor and participate in Drop Deadlift Gorgeous, for the third consecutive year.
Drop Deadlift Gorgeous is a charity deadlift event hosted by Solcana Fitness in Minneapolis, raising money for trans+ and gender-expansive communities across the Midwest through PFund Foundation’s TRANSCEND Fund. Over the past four years, the event has directed more than $350,000 to trans+ community care and helped sustain 40 organizations across five states.
Transphobia has been persistent in sports, especially strength-based sports, where trans athletes are often entirely excluded or targeted at every level, from youth leagues to elite competition.
Mariah has seen that exclusion firsthand in her powerlifting career, and it’s part of why events like Drop Deadlift Gorgeous matter so much to her and to Hamm Real Estate Company.
Because Trans+ people belong in sports, period.
