I’m so proud to share that Rethos has named me their 2026 Realtor of the Year.

The award recognizes real estate agents who care about preservation and help clients understand the value of older and historic homes. That’s my favorite part of this job, so this one means a lot.

If you don’t know Rethos, they’re a Saint Paul nonprofit that helps people take care of old places. They teach hands-on classes for homeowners, run the Old Home Certified course for Realtors, support Minnesota Main Streets, and advocate for historic tax credits. I’ve been a fan since I started in real estate in 2019, and their training changed how I walk through a house.

As of 2026, I have helped people buy and sell over 150 homes, with an average home age of 1930. That’s a lot of really old homes!

Two agents from Hamm Real Estate Company were nominated this year, me and my colleague, Liz Novotny. For a seven-person brokerage, I think that’s pretty darn cool.

Thank you to Rethos, my friends and colleagues, my wife Elizabeth, and every client who has trusted me with their old house.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling an old home or historic home in Saint Paul, Minneapolis, or the Greater Twin Cities Region, Hamm Real Estate Co is here to help.
